General Manager
About Us:
The Women's Chorus of Dallas (TWCD) is a vibrant organization dedicated to empowering women through music. We provide high-quality choral performances that inspire, entertain, and connect our community.
Position Overview:
The General Manager serves as the public-facing representative of TWCD, overseeing all non-artistic operations and working closely with the Artistic Director, Board, and volunteers. This role includes administration, concert logistics, marketing, fundraising, donor management, and community engagement to ensure the chorus’s success and visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary public representative of TWCD, fostering relationships with donors, sponsors, and the community.
• Oversee daily operations, records, and correspondence - including emails, phone calls and mail.
• Support board, Artistic Director, and Chorus officers with activities and organizational initiatives.
• Handle marketing, publicity, and donor communications.
• Assist in planning and coordinating concerts and special events
• Assist with sponsorships, fundraising, and grant applications.
• Work with the Board Treasurer on financial tasks, including budgets, audits, and donor records.
• Maintain databases, website, and social media presence.
• Manage and coordinate volunteer activities, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.
• Assign and oversee volunteer tasks, ensuring efficient event and operational support.
• Attend Monday night and occasional Saturday afternoon rehearsals as needed.
• Attend all performances, special events, and remote monthly evening board meetings.
Qualifications:
• Experience in nonprofit management, event planning, or arts administration preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social media.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Passion for music and the arts is a plus.
Physical & Logistical Requirements:
• Ability to sit at a computer and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and availability for concerts/events.
Compensation:
Part-time, 30 hours per week at $30/hour. Potential to become full-time.
